Protecting dashboard integrity

For every FM on-air event, *If* a valid secure token is present (hidden in the RDS data stream), only then are the text & image provided by the broadcaster get displayed.

The benefits are clear. Precise text and images keep the quality of the in-car user experience high.

Radio stations will participate by activating the in-station Vertokken tools AND appreciate the opportunity to maximize their access to the car radio dashboard.

The Certification Service

At the beginning of an on-air event, data from the studio equipment is sent to the Vertokken data center for identification.

After the content is processed, an encrypted "Token" is immediately created and sent to the station's RDS encoder for broadcast.

The FM receiver firmware decodes the token, if the token indicates a "valid" ID, then the RDS/HD Radio metadata is forwarded to the car radio display.
