Our Studios are located on the corner of "A" Street & North Beach Road in Eastsound, Wa. on Orcas Island.

They serve as the home for KIXP FM's radio studios and transmission equipment.

Additionally, the facility is the Operation Center for StayAlert services.

Current capabilities now include:

  • FM Broadcast 102.3 KIXP FM 

  • Streaming Media services: KIXP.org

  • FCC mandated EAS equipment including weekly tests.

  • Community round table studio

  • Backup power

  • Rock Island fiber Internet

  • Starlink satellite data service

  • Two way Radio Communications to on-air interface (GMRS & Ham)
    Buck Mt remote studio

  • Eagle Ridge (Mt Constitution) backup operations

for county-wide coverage

Our European RDS experts designed this compact FM data receiver. It is a standard USB device.

We are designing Kiosks with the receiver inside for reliable data delivery

You can also plug it into your personal computer to receive alerts

We've done this before

In 2012 the StayAlert team collaborated with FEMA & NPR Labs to create an Alert system serving 26 Gulf State radio markets.
